Daniel is a composer and songwriter and arranger who is fast gaining recognition for his creativity and professionalism.
With musical influences as diverse as Rachmaninov and Michael Jackson, Daniel is equally at home in a pop-song cowrite, scoring a film, or creating large solo piano works.
“In regard to my instrumental compositions, I don’t see myself as a ‘contemporary classical’ composer, actually I really dislike that term. As far as I’m aware, Beethoven didn’t ever refer to himself a ‘contemporary Baroque’ composer and I think 21st century piano composers are doing themselves, and new music in general, a disservice by trying to get their identity from a period in history that is a few hundred years gone. The best thing we can do as modern instrumental composers is to be original and write from the heart, not from history.”
He has worked on scores with directors and producers from nations around the world such as Dubai and London. Working with the film-maker, Daniel ensures that every score is unique and taylor-made to suit the story and intent of the film – be it through the use of a single instrument theme to a full orchestral score with band.
